Standard The skills and attributes I believe are necessary to be an outstanding teacher is patience, courage, wisdom, perseverance, dedication, and reflection. As a teacher you must have patience, because not everyone learns the same way, with students because you are ultimately their guiding light.

The way you react to each student can either encourage them to seize the day or to cause them to throw it all away. Teachers must have courage, courage to try something they have never done inside the classroom, even if it means dressing up like a different character for your students to learn the subject content.

Another key component to an outstanding teacher is to have wisdom, not to say teachers are the all knowing, but teachers have to be able to try something and even if it fails or even if it is a success the teacher must have the wisdom to understand what worked and what did not.

One of my favorite attributes is perseverance, to truly be an outstanding teacher you have to persevere throughout the year.
